Bachelor of occupational therapy is an undergraduate program in occupational therapy.
The Duration of the course is of 4 years of study and 1 year of practice, but in some colleges, it is 4 ½ years of study and 6 months of practice.
The BOT syllabus explores areas like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Orthopedics, etc.
In India, this course has gotten recognition from the All India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA) also the World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT).
The BOT job scope after graduating with a practice license, one may start working at Government or Private hospitals/clinics/community health centre’s.
Pursuing a PG course is also recommended, After completing, one may work as a Lecturer at Government or Private OT Colleges/Institutes.

Must have completed 10+2 level education, from a recognized educational Board.
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics should have been studied as the main subjects at the 10+2 level, with maintaining a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.
Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the course on a provisional basis.

A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidate’s score at the 10+2 level.
Admission for students is based on their performance in a relevant entrance test, followed by a subsequent round of counselling.
The round of counselling consists of two additional rounds of group discussion followed by a personal interview, wherein the candidate’s general aptitude for the course is examined.
